Sumo Group co-founder and Director of Excellence and Integration, Darren Mills, has received the Hero Award from Solving Kids’ Cancer in recognition of his contribution to the charity, and his efforts in raising funds and awareness of children living with neuroblastoma.
A passionate advocate for charity, Darren played a pivotal role in bringing the first-of-its-kind event, British Racing Greats, to life in June of this year, which saw the games industry gather for a day of racing, fundraising and awareness for Solving Kids’ Cancer and SpecialEffect. The event was a huge success, raising over £100,000 for the two charities.
The award was presented at Solving Kids’ Cancer’s annual carol service event, during which the charity spoke about the highlights of the year.
