Today, Sumo Group is proud to launch its new free career programme aimed at helping experienced game developers learn vital leadership skills – with sign-ups now open for a limited period.
Evolve is based on Sumo’s successful internal emerging talent programme and will provide fundamental leadership and management skills needed to help people take their next career step into leading others.
The programme will be delivered through a series of virtual workshops run by the Sumo Group Learning & Development team, as well as experienced Sumo developers in leadership positions. Evolve is open to people with five years of game development experience who don’t have access to learning and development opportunities.
“After a successful pilot programme, we’re excited to launch Sumo Group Evolve for those individuals who want to take their first step into a leadership role,” said Jenny Muhlwa, Learning & Development Partner Consultant at Sumo Group.
“Leadership and management are among the skills shortage hotlist in the games industry and are the hardest roles to fill. Through Sumo Group Evolve we aim to help close the current skills gap of leads in the games industry and improve the pipeline of Talent coming through with more training opportunities at this level.”
