Sumo Group has brought home a double award win from the 2023 Develop:Star Awards and is celebrating its 2023 Game Dev Heroes winners.
At the Develop:Star Awards, which celebrate creative excellence in the games industry, Atomhawk collected the Best Creative Provider award following a busy H1 packed with exciting projects – including involvement in Halo Infinite.
Sumo Group was named winner of the inaugural Talent Development Star Award, which recognises in-house teams operating outstanding policies and initiatives to successfully recruit, retain and develop talent.
Sumo is also celebrating its nominees across multiple categories, including Ladell Smith (Auroch Digital) and Kirsty Kirby (Lab42) for Diversity Star, and Hannah Corcoran (Auroch Digital) for Rising Star.
In addition, at the Game Dev Hero Awards – which recognise the unsung heroes of the games industry - Business Development Director Nina Cliff (Sumo Group) and Senior Narrative Sarah Longthorne (The Chinese Room) were crowned in the Business Development and Writing + Narrative categories, respectively.
Both awards were held during this year’s Develop:Brighton conference, at which people from across Sumo Group took to the stage to deliver insightful talks, panels and sessions.
A huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners at both awards!
