Sumo Group celebrates its Game Dev Heroes nominees

Sumo Group is celebrating its finalists at the 2023 Game Dev Hero awards.

From Production and Progression, to Art and Animation – we’re proud of everyone announced in the shortlist for this year’s awards, which recognise the unsung heroes of the games industry.

From Auroch Digital, Technical Artist Joe Beacham is nominated for Art & Animation Hero, Social and Community Manager Ladell Smith is nominated in the Progression Advocate Hero category, and Marketing Director Jemima Crow is a finalist for Marketing Hero.

Sumo Nottingham has received a trio of nominations: Project Design Director Kelvin Moore is up for Design Hero, Project Audio Director and Composer Ross Tregenza is nominated for Sound Hero and Senior Executive Producer Darren Campion is a finalist for Production Hero.

The nominations for The Chinese Room are Lighting Artist Freddie Pitcher is shortlisted for Art + Animation Hero, and both Senior Narrative Designer Sarah Longthorne and Principal Narrative Designer Arone Le Bray are up for Writing + Narrative Hero.

Sumo Leamington’s Lead QA Tester Suzannah Tsang and Lab42’s Environment Artist Carine Sofia Oliveira Soares are nominated for QA Hero and Rising Star, respectively.

Finally, Sumo Group’s Video Editor Rob Hancock is a Marketing Star finalist, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner Sara Machado is nominated for Unsung Hero and Director of Business Development Nina Cliff is shortlisted for Business Development Hero.
