Sumo Group announces speakers for Women in Games Careers Expo

Sumo Group is delighted to announce that speakers from its 18 global businesses will be participating in the 2023 Women in Games Careers, Development and Networking Expo on the 9th of March.

Teams from Sumo Group, including Timbre Games, Auroch Digital and Atomhawk will get involved from 10am to 6pm GMT delivering a series of talks, panels and roundtables discussing their experiences of working in the games industry.

The Women in Games Careers Expo, which is run bi-annually by Women in Games, aims to inspire the next generation of women in the games industry and provides opportunities to get up close and personal with games companies worldwide.

The full schedule can be found below:

10am: Day in the life of. Going beyond Code, Art and Design: Esha Mahadkar from Secret Mode, Paige Dolan, Clare Whincup, Anna Dempsey, Charlotte Hardman and Sara Machado from Sumo Group

11am: Women as Leaders with Jemima Crow, Alice Liguori, Alix Briskham, Eren Peddie and Nina Adams from Auroch Digital.

12pm: Imposter in the Room… It’s Me! with Michelle Chapman from Sumo Sheffield, Harriet Morris from Secret Mode, Michalina Pieścińska from Sumo Leamington, and Carina Sofia Oliveira Soares, Cindy Archer and Cherish Goldstraw from Lab42.

1pm: Neurodiversity in Marginalised Genders with Hannah Corcoran from Auroch Digital.

2pm: Adventures in Game Art: How We Got Here and How You Can Too with Leanne Bayley, Charlie Bowater and Leanne Reed from Atomhawk, Nina Klos from Sumo Leamington, and Hannah Waring and Carina Sofia Oliveira Soares from Lab42.

3pm: How Running a Circus Is Like Making Games with Tess Cartwright from Auroch Digital.

4pm: A New Leader’s Journey (The Good, The Bad and the Sometimes Ugly) with Lorie Corcuera, Alexi Nijathaworn, Lianna Scrimger, Kat Neale and Kass Krahn from Timbre Games.

5pm: Women Who Play Games with Millie Shaw from Sumo Group and Ines Lagarto from Lab42.

In addition, Talent Acquisition Manager Georgina Cornelius, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner Sara Machado and Talent Acquisition Partner Millie Shaw from Sumo Group’s Recruitment team will be available throughout the day to answer questions and share information about current opportunities.
